Welcome to 12 ROLLS!


"12 ROLLS" is a simple game of chance. Roll the smilie face twelve times in a row with a die. Purchase upgrades to get more dice and increase your chances.

HOW TO PLAY


It's very simple: press X or V to roll the dice and buy upgrades. The rest is left to chance.


WHY AND HOW IT WAS MADE


This game was a spontaneous idea that I implemented in just a few days. There are no special mechanics. It's just about rolling the dice and increasing the probability of winning. It was inspired by "Unfair Flips" on Steam.


As always: I am from Germany and English is not my native language. If you find any mistakes, please let me know.

1099 rolls! Took me about 20min. Nice little game

This was pretty entertaining for how simple the concept is. Really sweet game. Good job!

At 6 dices, you have 66.5% chance to have a head. You need 66.5% ^ 12 to win = 0.7% .... I'm sorry, but I can't, chill enjoyable game nevertheless.

If you take the math a step further and adjust for time, it lands somewhere around 9 minutes of clicking once the upgrades are all unlocked to (statistically speaking) get lucky. Short enough that it's doable, but long enough that I also bowed out after crunching the figures.

A few improvements I see :

  • Allow to maintain button to chain rolls
  • Make something happen when multiple smiley are rolled ? Maybe make the “multi” take the number of smiley into account, that way it differentiate him from the “worth”

I deliberately made it that you cannot hold down the button to auto-roll. I WANT you to press this button. :D

The second idea sounds interesting. But then I need to rebalance the shop. I think the game is OK as it is, but I will think about your idea. Maybe I can come up with something. (Maybe in 12 ROLLS 2 :D )

Yeah I figured, mid way I did the probability math. I found that with all dices, you should get a serie of 12 once every 130 rolls something like that
